New Mexico United of the USL, the second-highest men’s league in the US, has confirmed the signing of Joseph Melto Quiah for the 2026 season, pending league and federation approval. Quiah, a 5’11” attacking player, joins the USL side after impressing during preseason, with New Mexico United’s Sporting Director Itamar Keinan praising the young forward’s attacking quality and potential.

Born and raised in Montserrado, Liberia, Quiah’s rise has been fast and fearless. He made his Liberia senior national team debut at just 16—a huge milestone that showed early signs of a special career.

College star at the University of Dayton

Quiah built a strong reputation in U.S. college soccer with the University of Dayton, emerging as one of the country’s most dangerous attackers. Across 47 matches (43 starts), he produced 14 goals and 16 assists, with his best season coming in 2024, where he delivered 8 goals and 6 assists. His senior-year performances earned him major honors, including
