Sudanese giants Al-Hilal Omdurman have officially completed the signing of young Liberian midfielder Amara Kamara on a long-term contract reported to run until 2031, as the Blue Wave continue to strengthen their squad with some of Africa’s most exciting emerging talents.
Kamara, who has been linked with a move from Paynesville FC, becomes the third Liberian in the Al-Hilal camp—joining compatriots Kindness Cole and Emmanuel Flomo in Omdurman’s famous Crescent family.
The move is another strong statement from Al-Hilal as they push on with their continental ambitions. The Sudanese powerhouse has remained a consistent force in African competition in recent seasons, continuing to compete deep into the CAF Champions League. For Kamara, it’s a massive step—and a big moment for Liberian football. From the LFA scene to one of Africa’s most recognized shirts, the message is clear: Liberian talent is traveling.
KEAH SPORTS TAKE:
This is the kind of pathway Liberia needs more of — young players making smart moves early, landing in serious environments, and building continental pedigree. With Cole and Flomo already at Hilal, Kamara is walking into a setup that has Liberian support inside the dressing room.
